Oatmeal Waffles

This is what was for breakfast at our house this morning. Thought I would quickly share the recipe. These waffles are filled with all things good for you....and your kids will never know it, as long as there is some syrup on top! I have no idea where I found this recipe but it was on the Internet somewhere. Hope you enjoy!

Oatmeal Waffles
2 eggs
2 cups buttermilk (Can substitute regular or almond)
1 cup quick oats
1 tbsp molasses
1 tbsp oil 1 cup wheat flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
Squirt of vanilla
Ground Flax Seed (optional)
1. Mix the eggs and milk together.
2. Add the oats and mix.
3. Add molasses and oil and mix.
4. Mix flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda in a separate bowl. Then add to wet mixture and mix well. (I always add ground flax seed to this mixture as well for a little added umph of goodness) 5. Add to a waffle maker and eat, eat, eat!

Very good. Very good for you. Secret healthiness. Remember, it is always homemade!
