Brotherly Love

I am not going to lie to you...I just haven't been in the mood this week to scrapbook. My husband was out of town part of this week and came home last night and that is usually when I get a lot of crafty time but this week I have just not been motivated to scrap like I usually do when he is gone. But, two nights ago, I sat down and actually produced a pretty cute page considering my mood! I was proud of myself! I then proceeded to work on cutting pieces out for my son's pirate valentines and some milk carton templates out as well for his teachers at school for their valentines! So, it turned out to be a pretty productive evening.
This page is a series of pictures that we took very soon after I came home from the hospital with our little girl. We weren't sure how Harrison was going to react to a new baby in the house, but as you can see, he is a great big brother and it was "love at first sight". He still loves her now, 19 months later, although he doesn't always "like" her! Sometimes I feel like a referee but that is just part of being a parent! ;)
Anyway, the base of this page is pink (of course)...although I am not a PINK kind of girl, it just seems that all girl pages include it somehow! I used the green to mat the pictures and then a print to outline the collage of pictures. I then used a pink border strip that I had precut on the Cricut and placed it at the top of the journaling box to add a little demention. I inked the edges, put a lined border around all the matted pictures and then added the three circle stickers in the bottom left hand corner. I then added "brotherly" in white letter stickers and then wrote "love" onto a matching pink color and placed it under the white stickers, I think it turned out very cute...but that is just me! ;)
Hope it inspires to you get working on your next page, even though you may not "be in the mood". It doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to be homemade!
Have a great day and don't forget to work on your challange project this weekend!
